SPECIALTY & PERSONALIZED PLATES (TAGS)
Specialty Plates (Tags) The State of Florida currently offers various specialty tags or license plates. These plates carry unique designs and were created to honor the plate holder and/or benefit a specific organization. The annual fee for these plates ranges from $15.00 to $25.00 (excluding military tags). In addition to the annual use fee, there is a $5.00 per year processing fee. Also, there is a $28.00 plate fee when a new plate is issued. The annual use fee and the processing fee are charged each year in addition to the registration renewal fee. Specialty plates may be obtained at any Branch and/or Tag Office of the Tax Collector Back To Page Navigator View Specialty Plates (Tags) Click on one of the following links to view a category of specialty license paltes (tags). Once in a category, you can simply view the available specialty plates. If you already have a current license plate (regular or specialty), you can order the available specialty tag you want online by just clicking on the image! SPECIALTY TAG CATEGORIES
Specialty plates may also be obtained at one of the Tax Collector's Offices Back To Page Navigator Personalized Plates (Tags) Personalized tags or license plates may be ordered at any Tax Collector's Office. (Personalized plates are not available online.) Application for the initial personalized plate may be made any time; however, the vehicle must have a current Florida license plate and registration at the time of application. Upon initial application, a $28.00 plate fee and $15.00 personalization fee is charged in addition to any other applicable fees. Also, if your current plate is 5 years old and scheduled to be replaced, you must order your new personalized plate no later than two months prior to your birth month or the month in which the vehicle registration expires. The annual renewal of a personalized plate will include the $15.00 personalized fee. Click here to retrieve the Personalized License Plate Application.
